A new program for Young Adults has formed out of the Teen Adventure Leadership program. This leadership program has been specially designed for our young adults campers, 18-22, with Asperger’s syndrome. Like our program for teens, the session consists of a self-directed wilderness trip and an on-campus leadership training course. This program is a place to master and build on the social, communication and group skills that the young adults have worked on during previous sessions at Talisman. The goal of this program is to teach these young adults valuable leadership skills that not only are beneficial at camp, but that will transfer into the campers utilizing these skills in the real world.
